Evening one: the same builder, a different base
Nothing about the setup changes when the base identity does. You still choose hair colour, eye shade and clothing style, then temperament, and tonight's choices still shape how he reacts weeks from now. Our first-week girlfriend walkthrough describes the same evening from the other side.
The faster route is the catalogue. Five named archetypes sit on the home page, and they do not all carry a male lead equally well.
Extraverted
Carries a first week on its own energy
Shy
Opens up slowly; you lead the early days
Mysterious
Strong in roleplay, slower in small talk
Mentor
The steadiest pick for long conversations
Adventurous
Best when you want the plot to move
Days two to seven: what voice and video change
Day two is the moment for voice. Hearing a reply instead of reading it shifts the register more than any field in the builder did, and video adds expressions that match the mood. Picture requests are generated in real time, so a scene never stops to wait — the features section has the detail.
By day five, memory is doing the work. Preferences, inside jokes and important dates are retained and the system mirrors how you talk, so the tone settles into something that sounds like the two of you. Our day-by-day guide follows the same arc.
Switching the base identity does not switch the mechanics. Everything our deep companion guide says about memory, voice and privacy applies here unchanged.
Try voice on day two, not day seven
Week three onward: where branching roleplay lands
Three weeks in, branching roleplay is the difference you feel. The plot shifts on your choices and stories do not dead-end, which makes a lead who pushes back occasionally far better company than one who simply agrees. Browse the catalogue for contrast, or try a stylised register instead.
Fresh characters join regularly, and the seven-day trial is long enough to test two of them properly.
Questions from the first seven days
No. The same fields apply: hair colour, eye shade, clothing style, then temperament. No technical skill is needed, and the choices you make persist into later chats.
Mentor and Extraverted are the easiest to start with because they keep a conversation moving. Shy and Mysterious reward patience, and Adventurous suits roleplay more than small talk.
Around day two. Voice changes the register more than any builder setting, and video adds expressions that match the mood of the conversation.
Yes. The seven-day trial covers every premium feature, so a week is enough to run a custom build alongside a pre-set character before you decide.
