Candy AI Characters: Browsing the Catalogue in Week One

The catalogue is a shortcut, not a showroom. This page covers how to browse it on day one, what the five archetypes do differently, and the moment you should close it and open the builder.

Day one: browsing before you build

Hundreds of realistic characters are already set up, each with a distinct history, which saves the evening the builder would have cost you. Start here if you cannot yet name the temperament you want — our builder walkthrough covers the other route, and the catalogue section at home explains the split.

Still day one: what a distinct history means

A distinct history is not decoration. It gives a character opinions before you have said anything, so the first exchange already has somewhere to go.

  • Extraverted and Adventurous open fast and carry a first conversation.
  • Shy and Mysterious hold back, and reward a second and third session.
  • Mentor is the steadiest choice for long, unhurried talk.

All five are described on the home page, and meet the girlfriends lines them up with portraits.

Browsing is not a commitment. Memory only starts once you start talking, so a character you open and leave costs you nothing but the evening.

Hundreds are already waiting

Day three: when to stop browsing and build

Stop when you can name the temperament you want. That is the signal to open the builder, where hair colour, eye shade, clothing style and temperament are yours and the choices persist. The first-week page picks the story up there, and daily life shows where it ends up.

Plenty of members keep both: a pre-set character for quick evenings, a custom build for the long arc. The seven-day trial covers either, and a male lead or a stylised register changes nothing about the method.

Browsing questions, answered quickly

Hundreds of realistic characters are already set up, and new ones join regularly. Each arrives with a distinct history rather than a blank slate.

It gives a character opinions before you have said anything, so the first exchange has somewhere to go. That is the practical gap between a pre-set companion and a blank build.

Extraverted or Adventurous, because they carry a first conversation on their own. Shy and Mysterious reward a second and third session, and Mentor is the steadiest for long talk.

The moment you can name the temperament you want. At that point the builder is faster than the catalogue, and the choices you set there persist into later chats.
